Providence Health & Services Neurology Stroke in Portland, Oregon
Portland, Oregon – The Providence Brain & Spine Institute (PBSI), a center of excellence within Providence Health & Services, is seeking a Stroke Neurologist to join the Providence Stroke Center. Completed Vascular Neurology fellowship or Vascular Neurology board certification is required. The PBSI is the Northwest’s premier neurosciences center, with established clinical and research programs in MS, Stroke, ALS, dementia, and neurosurgery. Clinical programs further include movement disorders, epilepsy, orthopedic spine surgery, neuroradiology, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and gamma knife. The new physician will become part of a regional Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center consisting of two major hub hospitals in Portland, our team of 7 board certified stroke neurologists, a 22-hospital Telestroke Network, and extensive ongoing clinical trial and epidemiologic research. The new stroke team member will join a team of six board-certified vascular neurologists and six BC/BE neurointensivists. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient rounding on neurology consult service, stroke/telestroke call coverage and staffing stroke clinic.
The Providence Brain & Spine Institute is a renowned neuroscience center focused on leading neurological innovative care models and clinical research.
