Providence Health & Services Prov AIR Manager in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Prov AIR Manager for our new Behavioral Health Assessment, Intake and Referral (AIR) program at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
Prov AIR is being developed to help ease the way of our patients moving from emergency services into the appropriate level of care, which may include inpatient psychiatric services. This program manager will be responsible for developing collaborative relationships with the Providence Inpatient Units as well as various community partners. This program will be open 24/7 with about 6 master's level clinicians who will be performing bed board management, assessments for appropriate level of care, insurance pre-authorizations and coordination of transitions.
In this position, you will:
Be accountable for directing the Assessment and Referral activities at all regional inpatient psychiatric facilities.
Provide direction to the Assessment Intake & Referral Team in the provision of psychiatric assessment services, including clinical evaluations, crisis intervention, and referrals.
Interface closely with the medical staff, fellow department management and administration, treatment teams, external case managers, managed care organizations, and functions as a liaison with other hospital intake departments.
Manage contracted services to respond to information, screening, payer verification, scheduling, referral and day and after hours call coverage for ambulatory services in the Oregon (OR) region.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health or a related field
5 years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting
2 years of experience managing similar assessment, intake and referral functions for acute psychiatry services
Experience in successfully supervising/managing employees in a 24/7 environment
Experience managing third-party vendor relationship/contracts
Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Clinical licensure with the state of Oregon in applicable field (i.e. LCSW, Ph.D, etc)
