Providence Health & Services Senior Financial Analyst in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Senior Financial Analyst to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Be part of a growing multi-disciplinary team that supports research primarily in cancer, cardiovascular, neurology and improving the health of underserved populations.

  • Work with individual research programs to monitor grant balances, determine source of any issues and assist in resolution.

  • Prepare a variety of monthly reports from multiple data sources to assist program and Regional Research staff. Work with the Finance Director on preparation and negotiation of federal indirect (F&A) and fringe benefits rates.

  • Perform sub-recipient monitoring and submit Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reports.

  • Apply payments received to appropriate grants and reconcile cash clearing account.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Administration, Business, Finance, Management, or related fields -or- 4 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

  • 4 years of experience in accounting or finance

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • 2 years of work experience with grant accounting

  • Experience working in a research setting
