Providence Financial Transactions Analyst 1 (Part Time) in Beaverton, Oregon

Description:

Providence Health Plan is calling a Financial Transactions Analyst 1 to our location in Beaverton, OR. This position will be remote and may pivot to a hybrid model in 2022 working a combination of in office and remote. We are seeking candidates that are available in commute distance to the office in Beaverton, OR as needed. This is a Part Time position.

The Financial Transactions Analyst 1 is a member of a cross-functional team whose primary responsibilities are to identify other party resources for primary payment of claims, while providing technical and customer support to the Service Operations Claims and Customer Service teams, and multiple internal and external customers in the areas of Coordination of Benefits (COB), Third Party Liability (TPL), and Overpayment Recovery (OPR).

This position is responsible for maintaining other insurance information, determining order of benefits, coordinating recoupment and/or avoidance of payment as appropriate in an effort to reduce medical expense. In addition, this position is responsible for requesting refunds for overpayments made in error, following up with providers and members to ensure prompt refunds are received and posted to members claim history as well as negotiating a fair and just settlement of third party cases with legal counsel and adverse carrier situations.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - OR - 4 years experience in a healthcare environment will be considered

  • 2 years Experience in a healthcare environment.

  • 1 year Claims adjudication experience in an HMO and/or PPO environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years Experience with Facets claims adjudication software.
