Providence Health & Services Healthcare Data Analyst 3 in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Healthcare Data Analyst 3 to our location in Beaverton, OR.
We are seeking a Healthcare Analyst 3 who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating complex quality improvement and process management initiatives. Also responsible for leading advanced strategic analysis of pharmacy expenses, formulary management and rebates, obtain data from various and disparate information systems, develop analyses that appropriately address the questions posed, and develop exhibits and presentation to communicate findings.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Organizes, prepares, and distributes complex pharmacy related financial and clinical analysis and operational reports utilizing multiple data systems.
Provides advanced analytic and statistical support for quality, clinical, and operational improvement activities, and effectively summarizing complex information into appropriate reporting in order to convey the meaning of the data to customers and decision-makers.
Provides expertise to responding to PBM RFPs for existing and prospective employer groups using innovative analytical skills.
Prepares reports for pharmacy network contract reconciliations and incentive programs.
Provides government regulatory and compliance reporting for Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree of highly quantitative (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, Biological/Pharmacology Science, Social Science or a related field), plus a minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis or high school education or equivalent, plus a minimum of 9 years of experience in data analysis.
Experience working with multiple data systems and multiple data reporting tools, programming in T-SQL and SQL Reporting Services.
Experience and/or expertise with pharmacy claims data including formulary management, Medicare Part D topics (including encounter data), and pharmacy rebates.
Requires in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, and theories in own professional discipline.
Requires project management skills, designs solutions for internal/external clients.
P referred qualifications for this position include:
Healthcare organization/health insurance experience.
Experience in clinical quality pharmacy measurements (including formulary management, HEDIS and UM).
Experience in financial pharmacy measurements including pharmacy pricing, rebates, MA Part D (including encounter data).
