Providence is calling a Enterprise Data Architect to Providence Health & Services in Beaverton, OR.
Providence Health Plans (PHP) is a market leading health plan and is part of the 3rd largest health care delivery system in the United States, Providence St. Joseph Health, serving members and patients in OR, WA, CA, MT, AL and TX. We are looking for a strong technical leader in the role of Enterprise Data Architect. The Enterprise Data Architect will work with leaders across our organization, whether in the C suite or at the subject expert level, in delivering business value within the required speed to market requirements. The person will be part of a team that is focused on delivering data services technologies at the enterprise level using cutting edge technical platforms.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Connect with the business partners to understand how existing or new technology can be applied to enable business capabilities.
Assist business and IT leadership in scoping and estimating new initiatives; work with product owners to convert new initiatives into epics, features, and stories for ready implementation by the project teams.
Influence our business partners to make responsible technical decisions that provide maximum benefits and efficiency while keeping risk manageable.
Create and maintain roadmaps that illustrate the current as-is state and desired future states of PHP data environments, including architecture, platform, and technology viewpoints.
Work with agile teams to create technical solutions that efficiently address business needs and are complementary to Providence’s overall technical direction; align backlogs and work efforts across development teams to ensure timely delivery of complete business capabilities.
Help lead an architecture review board to ensure new work is aligned to the overall IT strategy and roadmaps, and to ensure that innovation and best practices are replicated among development teams.
Help institute a data governance program to ensure timeliness, quality, usage, and safety of sensitive PHP data.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Overall 12 years of IT experience in enterprise setting, supporting more than one business process/area
6 years’ experience as enterprise data architect
Expert knowledge of data integration, quality, governance, and information management
Expert knowledge of integrating architecture and planning activities with agile development and delivery practices
Working knowledge of service-oriented architectures, event-driven architectures, microservices, ETL, and service bus patterns.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Database development experience using Microsoft (SQL Server preferred) or other leading database platform
Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science or information systems
Health care industry experience
Team leadership or team management experience
Understanding of emerging big data and analytics platforms
Enterprise Scaled Agile development experience
Exposure to Informatica platform (PowerCenter, IDQ, MDM, B2B)
Knowledge of frameworks, like TOGAF or DAMA-DMBOK, or certifications from standards body
