Compliance Services Specialist I

This position will be remote and may pivot to a hybrid model in 2022 working a combination of in office and remote. We are seeking candidates that are available in commute distance to the office in Beaverton, OR.

The general corporate and line of business compliance obligations for Providence Health Plan and its affiliate organizations. Specifically, the position supports the effectiveness of the companies' compliance privacy program with respect to:

Supports the privacy liaison between PHP, Enterprise Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance and Regulatory Affairs on privacy matters.

Coordinates the process to identify, track, and resolve privacy matters including investigation, development of corrective action plans, maintaining appropriate documentation of reported incidents, coordinating with Plan and PSJH, interfacing with members as needed and facilitating appropriate communication with regulatory agencies as required.

  • Supports the review of plan-wide privacy policies and procedures.

  • Assists in the coordination of plan-wide privacy education/training.

  • Supports PHP and PSJH departments in the interpretation and implementation of privacy requirements.

  • Participates in the development and execution of the privacy program’s quality improvement projects and initiatives.

  • Coordinates request for incoming HIPAA member requests.

  • Responds to general privacy inquiries


Required qualifications:

  • 2 years Relevant health plan, compliance and/or legal experience or experience in another regulated industry.

  • 2 years Experience with one of the following: Process improvement, policy and procedure development, technical or legal writing, written customer communications.

  • Bachelor's Degree
