Providence is calling a Senior HI Data Consultant - Oregon Region - PSJH to Providence Health & Services in either Portland or Beaverton, OR.
We are seeking a Senior HI Data Consultant to be responsible for a portfolio of client relationships as assigned (Shared Services, Regions, and Community Connect). The position facilitates understanding between clinical and operations leaders, their goals and objectives, and all HI teams. This position is key in supporting organizational strategy with delivery of HI data solutions.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Build enduring relationships with Client leaders by demonstrating a keen interest in the clinical and operational delivery of healthcare services to our communities, followed by an ability to apply HI data solutions to providing insight to support clinical and operational delivery. Embed with the Client leaders - attend their meetings, understand the goals and objectives they have to support PSJH strategy, understand the data gap to meet those objectives, and work with HI leaders and teams to close that gap.
Advocate and advance understanding of existing HI data solutions to Client groups. Demonstrate how existing solutions can meet data needs. Help clients understand the cost of data, and how to use that data in the most effective way to achieve their objectives. This requires an advanced understanding in turn of the clients' business.
Serve as the gatekeeper to all HI teams, helping to meter the demand to available resources and solutions. Communicate timelines and enhancements to Clients. Provide Client feedback to HI teams for product enhancement and delivery.
Work with the Client Services Technical Resource Team (and appropriate experts on other HI teams) to evaluate feasibility of Client requests, develop proofs of concept solutions, then drive product adoption. Prepare statements of work (or project charters) and secure resources and funding for solution delivery.
Work closely with all Strategic Data Consultants and all HI leaders and teams to ensure alignment of product across all organizational pillars, to leverage and enhance existing solutions, and to deepen collective understanding of the clinical and operational challenges facing PSJH and to bring data to bear in addressing said challenges.
Develop an in-depth, expert understanding of PSJH strategy and how each Client group is mobilizing to execute on that strategy. Engage professionally in debate on the appropriate data solutions to support PSJH and Client strategic objectives. Engage in thoughtful debate within HI to ensure alignment of HI's strategy with PSJH.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Technical IS, Clinical, Financial, or other Business Discipline Or equivalent educ/experience
5 Years Experience in data and analytics solutions
5 years Demonstrated ability to apply data solutions to solve business problems.
5 years Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with Clients, as measured by high degree of product adoption and satisfaction
3 years Broad familiarity with medical and business practices, in either acute or ambulatory settings; or healthcare operations
3 years Ability to express complex analytical and technical information to senior management or to audiences with clinical training.
Have exceptional interpersonal skills with a capability to gain the confidence and respect of senior executives and team members without needing to be hand-held or requiring supervision.
Be well versed and comfortable in contributing expertise and possess strong execution and project delivery skills to facilitate meaningful and enduring relationships with Clients.
Be organizationally savvy - politically aware and agile, knows the right thing to do, presents views and arguments effectively.
Manage diverse relationships - relate well to a wide variety of styles. Open to differences
In depth understanding of the full range of HI data solutions. Preferably have an advanced technical background (i.e., design/build data solutions, SQL programming, analytics).
