Senior Principal Security Architect - Medical Devices

Providence is seeking a Senior Principal Security Architect focusing on medical devices, IoT, IoMT, and OT systems.

This role will be responsible for researching, evaluating, and designing technical security solutions for the enterprise in support of the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) strategies; providing technical security assessments; developing, maintaining, and providing security consultations for enterprise teams, and monitoring an effective Information Security program to provide logical and physical protection of the company's resources. Accountabilities include building and executing security architecture and engineering practices for enterprise projects, conducting product research, participating in the selection process of technologies, establishing technical and strategic security guidance, and ensuring proper access for enterprise applications, data, communications systems, and services.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent education/experience

  • CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.

  • 10 or more years related experience.

  • Experience performing in an Incident Commander role for cyber incidents and issues affecting business operations across the environment and drive resolution of those issues.

  • In depth experience designing security controls and countermeasures for operating systems, databases, applications, Web services, user devices, and wireless networks.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a Healthcare environment

  • Experience with medical devices and clinical infrastructures

  • Experience with IoT, IoMT, and Operational Technology (OT) systems

  • Cloud security experience, especially Microsoft Azure

  • Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering

  • Architecture and design experience with networking, infrastructure, devices, and services

  • Ability to provide threat intelligence, penetration testing, malware analysis, vulnerability testing and risk assessments

  • Experience creating reference architectures, design documents, process documents, policies and standards

  • Ability to partner with Engineering, Development, QA, Operations and Program/Project Management to translate caregiver, business and technical requirements into components of a service architecture, ensuring that the solutions will meet compliance and operability standards

  • Strong collaborative approach, ability to quickly become a trusted advisor to multiple teams

  • Experience with data protection, IAM, governance, Risk, and virtualization

  • History of analyzing operational and capital expenses to improve capabilities while reducing cost

  • Ability to provide mentorship and leadership to less experienced team members

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with electronic medical records systems, especially Epic.
