Providence Health & Services Telecom Engineer II in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence is calling a Telecom Engineer II to the Technical Operations Voice department at Providence Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR
We are seeking a knowledgeable telecommunications professional to join the Enterprise Technology group that provides Information Technology infrastructure services for regional entities.
In this position you will:
Perform tasks relating to telecom (circuit) operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations.
Perform quality assurance and testing of transmission mediums and infrastructure components.
Perform tasks related to Telephony operations, installation, and/or maintenance for all physical layer services, including, but not limited to regional PBXs, Voice Mail Systems, ACD Servers, Call Accounting Systems, Intelligent Console Systems, Wireless voice systems such as SpectraLink, Vocera; Paging systems and devices; IVR’s, NICE Recording Systems, UPSs, etc.
Perform cross connects for stations; places and connects both DCP and IP phones, Maintain equipment in IDF and MDF.
Required qualifications for this position include:
2 or more years related experience
Must possess valid driver license and have access to a reliable personal vehicle
Ability to participate in an oncall rotation with peers
Ability to understand, diagnose, repair and document hardware issues on multiple telecommunications platforms
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of T1 network architecture and operating procedures
Knowledge of data scopes, patch panels, modems, and various analog, digital and VoIP signaling systems
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Telecommunications related certifications and/or Low Voltage license
