Providence Health & Services Director of Mission Integration and Spiritual Care in Milwaukie, Oregon
Providence is calling a Director of Mission Integration and Spiritual Care (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, OR and Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be a member of the Administration team, working with management, staff, physicians, the Foundation, Service Area Advisory Council, volunteers and community in furthering the understanding of the Mission of Providence Health and Services and the integration of the mission and core values into the life, policies and programs of Providence Milwaukie Hospital and Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.
Assure that the mission and values are reflected in all policies, practices and programs.
Assist the Oregon region Chief Mission Integration Officer in carrying out the overall Mission Integration Plan for the Region, and, in particular, at Providence Milwaukie Hospital and Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.
ESSENTIAL POSITION COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A practicing member of the Catholic Church is required.
Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Health Care Mission or related field of ministry.
Formal training in Ethics preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of the teachings and principles and traditions of the Catholic Church.
Must have a thorough understanding of Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
Success completion of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training
Certification by National Association of Catholic Chaplain (NACC) -or- Associate of Professional Chaplains (APC)
Current endorsement of sponsoring religious group
Ten (10) years of increasing responsibilities as a health care professional or administration of Mission related programs or services with eight (8) years of leadership experience
Demonstrates maturity, judgment, and leadership to be an effective and trusted contributor and colleague to the Ministry Chief Executive and leadership team to inspire and influence others in pursuit of the goals of the ministry of PSJH.
Demonstrated competence in collaborative processes, change management and culture change, group facilitation, verbal and written communication, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Understanding the principles and practices of adult learning.
