Providence is calling an Certified Nursing Assistant 2 / Patient Transportation (0.9 FTE, Days) to Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR.

We are seeking an Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA 2) / Patient Transport who will be under the direction and supervision of an RN, performs designated duties in accordance with established methods and procedures of the hospital.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Transport patients to and from various hospital departments using proper safety precautions and maintaining patient comfort

  • Assist with positioning of the patient, lifting and turning the patient using proper body mechanics, and ambulating the patient as directed

  • Daily maintenance of dialysis equipment

  • Daily available bed inventory

  • Respond to Code Blue, Code Gray, and Code Red; assists with CPR as directed

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • High school diploma -OR- GED

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course -OR- : Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements

  • Active and unencumbered license in the state of Oregon as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification

Preferred qualification for this position includes:

  • Experience in an acute -OR- long term care setting

  • One (1) year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2)
