Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse - Quality Management Coordinator in Oregon City, Oregon

Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Quality Management Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR and Providence Milwaukie Hospital in SE Portland, OR.

The QM Coordinator will work Monday - Friday with flexible start and end times based on the business needs.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide assessment and evaluation support to concurrent and retrospective quality and resource management in accordance with Medicare regulations, Joint Commission requirements, third party payer guidelines and medical, administrative and program personnel.

  • Actively work with physician leadership, directors and managers in the development and implementation of quality efforts, including preparation, risk monitoring and reduction in clinical and non-clinical systems, and coordinate multidisciplinary quality improvement projects.

  • Act as a facilitator and mentor for department teams related to performance improvement.

  • Authorize and make decisions on recommendations.

  • Serve as a resource and consultant for Quality Improvement activities and Medical Staff quality activities.

  • Assist in development and performance of educational activities as related to Quality Improvement, accreditation requirements and Resource Utilization.

Successful caregivers in this role will possess phenomenal professionalism, influencing skills, political savvy and interpersonal skills. Additionally, this individual will be a great self-starter and someone who's extremely organized with strong prioritization skills.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

  • Current unencumbered RN licensure in the state of Oregon

  • 5 years of clinical experience

  • 5 years of hospital experience in a progressively responsible position(s) requiring contact with various departments

  • Demonstrated evidence of self-motivation

  • High level of communication skills in order to clearly and concisely interact with all levels of Nursing, Administration, and Professional staff

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business, Healthcare or Business Administration

  • Adult medical surgical experience
