Providence Health & Services Accountant in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling an Accountant to our location in Portland, OR.
We are seeking an Accountant to be responsible for preparing journal entries, preparing general account reconciliations and account analysis. This position will support other functions necessary to complete the monthly financial reporting required for all entities within Providence Plan Partners.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
Analyze and reconciles assigned General Ledger accounts.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements including supplemental supporting schedules.
Prepare schedules and work papers for annual financial audit.
Fixed asset accounting.
Monthly Sales bonus payments.
Support ASO weekly funding process and reconciliation of ASO activity.
Support MCO and PPO accounting
Support investment accounting.
Manage own workload to meet deadlines.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Strong knowledge of PC applications, Excel and Word
Experience preparing journal entries and reconciling account balances.
Experience with computerized financial applications and Microsoft office applications.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles, procedures and methods (GAAP).
Analytic problem solving
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in Access software.
Experience in Health Care Industry.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles, procedures and methods (SAP).
