Providence Health & Services Clinical Support Coordinator - Medical Assistant in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Clinical Support Coordinator to Providence Office Park in Portland, OR.
The schedule for this position will be Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - 7:00am-5:30pm. The Clinical Support Coordinators provide a centralized service for our Providence Medical Group (PMG) primary care clinics. They support the clinics with patient follow-up calls for hospital, and emergency department discharges.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for performing duties in support of the core functional areas ofcase management.
Focus on coordination and technical support of theprograms.
Function in a team environment, providingrequested services in a centralized setting on behalf of the Providence Medical Group (PMG) clinics.
Serve as an expert resource to PMG providers and staff concerning processes relatingto case management.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of a certified medicalassistant program
National certification as a medical assistant -or- within 1 year of hire
2 - 4 years of clinic experience
Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer and keyboarding skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Working knowledge and/or experience in a utilization management function (3-5 years in related field)
