Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant - ICF North Unit (0.6 FTE, Days) to Providence Child Center in Portland, OR

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 - Icf North Unit that will perform basic nursing tasks while providing quality care to children and assists them in the activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN).
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Understand the purpose of and carries out the child's plan of care
Support and carry out the procedures as taught in orientation and outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual
Monitor the child's status throughout the shift. Reports observations of status to appropriate team member and documents in the bedside chart
Promote physical maintenance by following the schedule for each child which includes utilizing appropriate positioning equipment, adaptive devices, restraints, communication techniques and activities
Review Kardex on an on-going basis for changes in plan of care. Follows any new programs or precautions noted in the Kardex
Communicate in a professional manner with other staff members and children's families, directing questions or concerns to the appropriate team member
Initiate Unusual Occurrence Reports appropriately
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course -OR- equivalent education/experience
Active and unencumbered license in the state of Oregon as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 2
- CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements
