Providence Health & Services Community Outreach Coordinator in Portland, Oregon

Providence is calling a Community Outreach Coordinator - Swindells Southern Oregon (0.8 FTE, Days) to Providence Swindells Center in Medford, OR.

We are seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator - Swindells Southern Oregon that will work directly with Administration, Mission, Marketing/Communications, Foundation, local and county civic and social service groups/agencies/government on community outreach activities and programs aimed to assure the integration of Providence mission values and strategic goals through the coordination, provision and support of community based programs. The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the operations and events of Swindells, its volunteers, vendors and other collaborators.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with designated staff, coordinates logistics for all Swindells events, including parenting classes, speakers events, and health resource fairs

  • Support Swindells and Children's Developmental Health teams in maintaining relationships with the community by involvement in community activities and events

  • Solicit and coordinate volunteers for events

  • Maintain vendor relations, including ordering, donation solicitation and appreciation

  • Monitor supply inventory; orders as needed in preparation for events

  • Assist administrators in program development and evaluation if requested

  • Adhere to the philosophy of the Mission and Core Values of Providence Health & Services

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Current and valid Oregon Driver's license

  • Two (2) years of Experience in community outreach coordination or promotion

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Health, Education or Special Education -or- equivalent education/experience
