Providence Health & Services Community Resource Specialist - Help Me Grow Program in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Community Resource Specialist - Help Me Grow Program (0.8 FTE, Days) to Providence Child Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide developmental information and community-based referrals for families with young children at risk for developmental delay.

  • Have job responsibilities which include responding to requests for information, providing information regarding community services, referring to community agencies and administration of community resource and client data tracking.

  • Work closely with staff in early learning and pediatric medical environments.

  • Be responsible for referrals and follow up with clients.

  • Work collaboratively with other Swindells Center staff to manage the library, speaker events, and other duties as assigned.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and applicable experience

  • Valid drivers license

  • 1-3 years of experience in 1 or more of the following areas: health, human services or community education, with an emphasis on serving young children and their families. Includes knowledge of Early Childhood Services array

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bi-lingual skills
