Providence is calling a Contract Assistant PSJH to Providence Finance, Contract Administration Operations in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Contract Assistant to manage the Contract Administration/Operations department email in-box: review, respond and analyze inquires and route or respond as appropriate. Provide support to the Director of Contracts Administration/Operations and the entire Contract Administration/Operations team to ensure we provide timely responses to our internal and external customers and meet all of our contract requests and compliance requirements, including managing small projects. This role backs up the Credentialing Coordinator to manage and submit credentialing and re-credentialing requests and also may work closely with vendors directly on ongoing projects. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes Providence mission, values, and philosophy. In all aspects, he/she serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Manage the general Contract Administration email in-box reviewing requests and extracting data from contracts and contract documents to build contract data grids , including completing compliance attestation forms and also analyzes volume of inquiries and identies trends. and For more complex requests this role, responds to general contract questions or partners with Contract Specialists and negotiators to respond.
Work in contract management system to review and send contracts and pull reports based on requests from Contract Administration in-box inquiries.
At times will independently complete re-credentialing and credentialing applications and support Credentialing Coordinator in gathering supporting documents for submission of credentialing applications.
Distribute Contracts, Payer Notifications and Payer Policies, as appropriate.
Respond to Quarterly Due Diligence.
Respond to contract requests from legal and external vendors, as requested. This may also require review and data extraction to build reports and payer grids as requested.
Provide support to Credentialing Coordinator to support completion of facility credentialing applications and gathering of supporting documents.
Manage special projects, audits, payer surveys compliance and vendor requests that come in with Contract Administration/Operations team in partnership with Director and Contract Specialist Lead.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience in working with technical language and documents required. Preferred knowledge of payer contracts.
Advanced written and verbal communication and strong organizational skill.
Knowledge in Microsoft Suites, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration, etc.
Knowledge in BLS - Basic Life Support, ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Minimum of four (4) years experience in healthcare and knowledge of third party contract language.
