Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Contract Coordinator PSJH in Providence Finance, Payer Contracting in Portland, OR.

We are seeking a Contract Coordinator to work independently, under the general supervision of a contract admin operations leader, the Contract Coordinator is responsible for maintaining contract files (both paper and electronic), which includes the addition of the relevant documents into electronic filing systems using standard work and standard naming conventions, understanding the impact of the contract changes and what stakeholders are impacted, filing and distribution completed contracts to key stakeholders. The Contract Coordinator tracks and ensures the flow of documents to key parties for signature. Attention to critical dates and deadlines is required.

The Contract Coordinator must be able to answer basic contracting questions from providers and internal operation departments and works closely with key stakeholder to resolve operational issues in specified time frames related to payer and provider contracts.

Assist as needed and provide support to Contracting staff on specified projects, with varying levels of complexity.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Distribution of Contracts for all networks, hospitals, payors and providers. Knowledge of contract types & contract owners required. Attention to detail and accuracy required.

  • Work with the Contract Manager, and Contract Specialist, to interpret contract terms and submit the direction/ticket for EPIC contract load. Attention to detail and accuracy required.

  • Support maintenance of contract file in shared drives and contract management system. Standard work must be followed to ensure that end users are able to find documents that are filed in the respective systems.

  • Accurate interpretation and filing of documents into payor and provider files. Basic understanding of contracts required.

  • Support in the completion of payor requested forms and other survey forms.

  • Research and survey of payors for benefit and coverage information.

  • Assist in the maintenance of contract databases. Track documents through the implementation process, identifies issues, and communicates with key stakeholders of any roadblocks in the implementation process. In collaboration with key stakeholders, develop correction action.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent education/experience.

  • Minimum of three (3 ) years experience in an office environment within a health care organization and in managed care environment.

  • Word processing and spreadsheet experience required.

  • Familiar with the concepts of contracted managed care, payors and providers of health care system.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Strong time management skills and able to prioritize multiple sources of work.

  • Good communication skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Strong technical experience, Microsoft Office Suite
