In this position you will:
Provide a high level of customer service for patients, family members, volunteers, physicians and staff.
Adhere to the Service Excellence Standards of Behavior guidelines at all times.
Have comprehensive knowledge of, and be compliant with, specified regulatory requirements, and food safety and sanitation regulations for food service in a health care environment.
Follow proper sanitation procedures and practices to assure the cleanliness and sanitation of ware-washing, service-ware, equipment in the work area.
Adhere to County/State Health department, hospital, and department standards, policies and procedures at all times.
Retail Dining and Barista Food Service Assistant Role:
Provide courteous, friendly customer service to all employees, visitors and physicians.
Provide excellent services, in taking phone or verbal order, preparing food and beverage per request and serving each customer.
Merchandise and set up food service areas.
Stock and clean service, dining and production areas.
Operate cash register, bus tables, prepare food, operate dish machine, and provide espresso coffee service.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Oregon Food Handlers Certificate or ServSafe Certification at the time of hire
The ability to read, speak and understand English in order to: read and interpret menus and interpret catering requests, takes written orders from customers, operate cash register, interact and communicate with patients and customers; this includes the ability to communicate and understand instructions or directions
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1-2 years of experience in retail dining or patient dining with emphasis on customer service and food handling
1-2 years of computer experience, patient interaction, and food service experience
1-2 years of experience in Healthcare or Dietary kitchen using "therapeutic diets"
1-2 years of cashiering experience
1-2 years of barista experience
Experience in healthcare facility or large food service operation
