Providence Health & Services IT Lab Manager in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling an Information Technology Lab Manager to the Providence Office Park in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be a health care professional with a broad understanding of health care operations and expertise with specific emphasis in the use of automated information systems as an integral part of the delivery of quality patient care for the Oregon region.
Be accountable for the implementation and maintenance of integrated information systems that will support the Oregon Laboratories and clinical decision making, as well as department/facility projects to support quality patient care.
Provide project management support to Laboratory services within an established budget, and provide the coordination, communication and project structure with other PHS project managers, departments/facilities and outside third party vendors.
Be accountable for identification, facilitation, and coordination of Lab staff’s input and education related to these projects and systems.
Provide project management accountability to timelines within established goals and budgets to ensure successful outcomes for the Oregon region.
Coordinate with system wide Lab departments and Process Engineers to work towards standardization of processes and technology/equipment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors of Science (BS) or Bachelors of Arts (BA) in any of the following: Information Systems/Technology, Business, Accounting, Health Care Administration
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
3-5 years of direct responsibility in project management of increasingly large, complex projects -or- Project Management certification
5 years of working in or around a health care environment
High level of comfort with computer technology and a solid working knowledge of technical computing/information system terms as well as demonstrable hands-on ability
3 years of supervisory experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
