Providence is calling a MajorGift Officer to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. Thisposition is an integral member of the Providence Oregon Foundations team andwill assist with growing the philanthropic support for some of the Portlandmetro region’s leading health institutes. This is a full-time, benefitedposition.

In this position, you will:

  • Be responsible for all aspects of management of abalanced portfolio of donors with the ability to solicit gifts in excessof $10,000 and above.

  • Have the ability to manage confidential information,work collaboratively with team members and develop strategies thatfacilitate major gifts for the organization.

  • Be assigned to specific programs and services with theexpectation that you will develop a broad base level of knowledge aboutthe programs and services you will seek funding support for.

  • Provide leadership and serve as a team member as it iscritical to successful fund development programs.

  • Work closely with senior program officers in specificareas, the executive director of the assigned facility or program, and theother team members engaged in the process of fund development.

Qualifications:

Requiredqualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors degree -or- equivalentexperience

Preferredqualifications for this position include:

  • 5 years of development experience with increasingresponsibility

  • Experience managing a portfolio of individual donors
