Description
This position is remote and we are open to candidates in the footprint of Providence in the states of WA, OR, CA, MT, and TX.
The Manager, Government Revenue Analytics manages staff, sets priorities for the department, and provides advanced analytical support to the organization. Provides project management and requires the use of advanced analytical and reporting skills and process improvement methodologies to design and review evaluation plans, coordinate data collection across groups, guide and develop analysts for reporting support, leading team meetings, and mentor junior staff.
The Manager, Government Revenue Analytics will lead a team of analysts to:
Support the complete and accurate capture of conditions for members enrolled in government programs
Maintain compliance with CMS standards
Implement data systems for the analysis of Medicare and ACA Risk Adjustment diagnoses
Model financial impacts of changes in risk adjustment data and methodologies
Leverage industry resources to increase knowledge and improve ROI of risk adjustment activities
Analyze the impact of Risk Adjustment Programs and identify process improvements and opportunities to achieve efficiency and effectiveness.
The Government Revenue Analytics Manager functions as a technical resource and as a mentor to all within the Financial Analytics and the larger Informatics department. The Manager must maintain an understanding of the changing health care trends and the impact of such changes on the Plan. The Manager must remain current on analytic techniques and methodologies, data sources, data available within the Providence Health System and other public and proprietary sources. The Manager of Government Programs Analytics must also build and maintain relationships with other leaders across the organization including Accounting, Provider Contracting, QMM, Finance, IS, Pharmacy, and outside the organization (the State, CMS).
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, Computer Science, Biological Science, Mathematics, or a related field
7 years healthcare experience; 5 years of which should be a combination of progressive leadership experience and analytical roles working with multiple data systems and multiple data reporting tools, programming in T-SQL and SQL Reporting Services
Experience in revenue risk adjustment methodologies - specifically the CMS-HCC and/or HHS-HCC Risk Adjustment Models
Experience working with accountants and actuaries in preparing monthly accruals
Experience with Medicare and Medicaid revenue methodologies
Demonstrated experience with managing professional staff who work independently on tasks and projects
Experience creating and manipulating databases for provider contracting and requests for financial analysis
Demonstrated experience applying project management skills in data-related and financial analysis projects
Preferred qualifications:
Master's Degree in Public Health, Statistics, Health Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience with commercial methods
The salary range listed for this position MIN: $54.22, MAX: 89.01 is based upon the primary work location posted Portland, OR. This position is remote. Salary range and offers are determined by internal pay equity and geographic cost of living differences. Salary rage will vary from State and region. Salary max is limited to 90% range in order to continue to offer internal pay growth. We welcome open and transparent discussions on salary at Providence.
