Providence Manager Specialty Clinic Office - Heart Clinic in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Manager Specialty Clinic Office - Heart Clinic (1.0 FTE, Days) to Mother Joseph Plaza Portland in Portland, OR

We are seeking a Manager Spec Clinic Office - Heart Clinic St V that will manage the office supervisors over non-clinical functions of the clinic (i.e. reception/registration, phones, appointments, and referrals/prior authorizations or medical records). Manages the business operations and activities of the Clinic. Ensures that all non-clinical services within the clinic are provided in a timely and accurate manner which is sensitive to the patient's physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage overall aspects of daily operations (i.e., appointments, patient flow, medical records, revenue cycle, and registration/reception) within multiple clinics

  • Oversee the supervisors who develop and implement the daily work schedule

  • Aid the supervisors in processing time cards, approves time-off requests, and authorizes overtime for staff

  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise all non-clinical staff in cooperation with clinic manager (i.e., patient relations representatives, billing and scheduler coordinators, referral specialists, and medical records)

  • Perform performance evaluations for supervisors of non-clinical staff and provides input to Medical Director/Clinic Manager/Clinical Staff Manager and/or Supervisor as appropriate for performance evaluations of all non-clinical staff and clinical staff and/or providers

  • Implement disciplinary action, as needed. All termination decisions must have the Clinic Manager's involvement


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Experience developing key relationships within an integrated delivery system such as hospital, health plan and support departments

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Suite

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year experience -OR- five (5) years experience working as a supervisor in a large clinic setting

  • EMR experience
