Mental Health Associate (0.9 FTE, Night) to Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Mental Health Associate (MHA) - Mental Health Adult who will provide patient care under the direct supervision of the RN, with indirect supervision of mental health skills by an employed Mental Health Professional. Provides hospital level and focused patient care, support, and milieu management for patients with behavioral health conditions and illness.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor's Degree -OR- a combination of applicable work experience and education
Three (3) years of relevant education -OR- training, -OR-
Three (3) experience in an intensive psychiatric residential -OR- outpatient setting, -OR-
One (1) year in an acute inpatient psychiatric facility
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) Certification and re-certification every two (2) years
Current certification and Oregon State license to practice as a CNA2, or have completed the basic CNA and CNA2 program within one (1) year of hire
