We are seeking a HME Service Delivery and Operations Business Analyst - Durable Medical Equipment Administration who will use data analytics to provide data-informed recommendations to Home Medical Equipment (HME) leadership to optimize HME service delivery, inform strategy development, enhance caregiver productivity and improve the patient experience. Identifies, assesses, monitors and measures trends, standardization/automation opportunities, cost savings opportunities, operational and financial trends, etc. Uses data from many different sources and transforms disparate data into actionable information.

This position will require greater analytical and communication abilities due to the more complicated nature of assignments. This position will also be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills via participation in work group.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis of financial and operational activity to support all aspects of the delivery of HME services.

  • Responsible for various routine reports and analysis as well as other special projects.

  • Creates analyses designed to enhance the timely sharing of meaningful performance information to the decision-makers. Goals: improved financial and/or operational performance such as improved productivity, workflow optimization, and improved patient care/satisfaction.

  • Ensures the accuracy of data represented in reports through various means of validation and meta data management reviews.

  • Process Improvement and Interaction with Operational areas within HME:

  • Continually suggests areas for reorganizing workflow to achieve economies of scale and efficiencies.

  • Cross Departmental: Interacts with all HME departments including Access, Logistics, Nutrition, Denial Management, Provider Network so appropriate information is shared and information can be provided to monitor performance and enhance results.

  • Anticipates and achieves problem solving for possible adverse circumstances or events.

  • Works to integrate categories of reporting including financial, quality, and operational metrics to create a comprehensive ministry overview.

  • Shares financial/operational information as appropriate to all operating departments on a regular and open basis.

  • Formulates recommendations for management in use in setting and realizing ministry and system objectives:

  • Designs and develops reports by extracting data from a variety of systems.

  • Analyzes data, presents to management and others in a clear, concise, and use able format which includes benchmarking, quality data, and examples.

  • Proactively identifies and implements enhancements and improvements to our use of technology solutions in a way that demonstrates documented operational improvement.

  • Data Analysis and Planning:

  • Facilitates the improvement of financial, service and quality metrics, and business strategic objectives by collaborating with core leaders and caregivers to identify, assess, monitor and measure trends, business opportunities, cost savings opportunities, operational and financial trends, etc.

  • Uses data from many different sources and transforms disparate data into actionable information.

  • Responsible for independently analyzing data and data trends, and making connections between different data sets and data points with an eye toward the larger strategic context and strategic business objectives.

  • Presents to and partners with HME management to drive improvements.

  • Prepares quality improvement outcomes reports. Presents data in ways that are intuitively understandable (charts, graphs, etc.).

  • Consistently produces reliable, actionable information for decision-makers.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience

  • 5 years Home Medical Equipment Industry related experience, including at least 3 years in a business/reporting analyst capacity.
