We are seeking a Pharmacist in Charge, Credena Health - Home Services Specialty Pharmacy that will provide department supervision and has daily operational control in the specialty pharmacy. The pharmacist in charge (PIC) for the fulfillment center is responsible for ensuring the pharmacy is in compliance with all state Boards of Pharmacy rules and regulations and other state and federal laws. Responsibilities include management of pharmacy operations, performance management including supervision of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, and other pharmacy staff. The PIC will oversee workflow development, software/automation installs and upgrades, production efficiency, and operational execution. Additionally, this position will assist the pharmacy leadership with implementation and promotion related to regional and system pharmacy strategies.

Consistently uses personal protective equipment as required and takes appropriate precautions whenever there is potential for contact with blood, body fluids, chemicals, and/or other hazardous materials
Maintains knowledge of work-appropriate aspects of environment of care programs, complies with policies, and reports unsafe conditions
Successfully completes Environment of Care Healthstream modules in the required timeframes and participates in fire drills and emergency exercises
Possibly label, transport, and store hazardous waste as described in annual training

Manage daily operations for pharmacy fulfillment center and related services
Manage pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks and other pharmacy staff
Interview and hire personnel, develops performance standards and conducts annual performance appraisals
Ensure fulfillment team is providing high quality care to all our patients
Audit and reconcile narcotic dispenses as required by regulatory bodies such as, Joint Commission, CMS, DEA, State Boards of pharmacy
Participate in development, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance programs
Address individual patient related issues to assure patient safety and satisfaction
Ensure that regulatory requirements of operations are met
Ensure accurate and timely processing of all medication orders, while ensuring packages arrive to the desired location within the manufactures storage guidelines
Perform the duties of a pharmacist, pharmacy technician, pharmacy clerk, or other pharmacy requirements during staff shortages
Collaborate with Quality Council to ensure fulfillment and mail order services are meeting accreditation, customer service and performance expectations
Collaborate with staff and/or vendors to troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software errors involving fulfillment center
Review and execute improvements to Specialty pharmacy HUB workflow and implementation of continuous improvements initiatives to improve overall service for caregivers, patients and providers
Maintain external relationships with pharmaceutical manufactures and third-party payers on behalf of the health system, including overseeing compliance or limited distribution drugs and specialty pharmacy network contracts
Coordinate trainings as requested by external and internal clients, regarding any implementation and/or change in process and/or workflows
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
Current active pharmacist license from the appropriate state(s)
One (1) year of Retail or Specialty pharmacist experience
Three (3) years of Pharmacy experience
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy -OR- equivalent education/experience
One (1) year of experience in a leadership/supervisory role
One (1) year of experience acting as a Pharmacist-in-Charge
