Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician Resource Service - Clinical Pharmacist (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Office Park Portland in Portland, OR

Shift: Four 10 hour shifts per week. No weekends

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Resource Service - Clinical Pharmacist that will support the Manager of Pharmacy Operations in designing and building a pharmaceutical management program for PMG clinics throughout the Oregon region. The candidate will help support the clinics in inventory management, waste reduction, safety and efficiency. Maintain efficient systems for ordering, receiving, managing and reconciling orders and inventory.

The Resource Specialist is responsible for the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of information received and subsequent communication of that information.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Liaison between clinic staff and pharmacy department.

  • Act as the primary resource for resolution of drug shortages between primary and secondary purveyors.

  • Coordinate orders, communication and distribution related to pharmaceutical, biologics and generic sampling for the PMG clinics.


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Registration with the State of Oregon Board of Pharmacy

  • National certification within six (6) months of employment

  • Three (3) years of experience as Certified Pharmacy Technician (equivalent clinic/health care experience may be considered at the discretion of hiring manager)

  • Experience with, or knowledge of, medical formularies and/ or drug benefit administration

  • Experience in database management, spreadsheet, electronic medical records

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and biologic nomenclature

  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary team

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • National certification upon hire

  • Experience in inventory control

  • Competent use of all Microsoft Office elements
