Providence is calling a Research Associate 1 - Medical Research (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland , OR.
We are seeking for a Research Associate 1 - Medical Research who will assist the Laboratory Chief in the implementation of research activities in the Cancer Research laboratories. Scientific and administrative duties are performed under the supervision of the Laboratory Chief or other laboratory personnel.
In this position you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
Perform the research necessary and evaluate the quality of research to reach the established laboratory goals under the supervision of the Laboratory Chief or other laboratory personnel
Be cognizant of potentially hazardous chemical, biological, or radiological materials; use personal protective equipment; and adhere to strict safety protocols
Use appropriate and reliable documentation, follow uniform reporting standards, and provide information by maintaining effective procedures and preparing periodic reports
Stay current with the literature in ongoing and proposed research projects in the field of specialty
Required qualification for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree With major courses in the field of research -OR- Four (4) years of relevant work experience
Preferred qualification for this position includes:
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate biomedical field
