Providence Health & Services Retail Patient Relations Representative - PDX in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Patient Relations Representative- Retail (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Medical Group Express Care- Portland International Airport (PDX) Clinic in Portland, OR.

The schedule for this full-time benefited opportunity will consist of four 10 hour shifts, currently this location is open Mon-Sun 4:45am-9:30pm flexibility to work rotating weekends preferred.

In this position, you will:

  • Represent the products and services of Providence Health & Services at a retail site within Portland International Airport (PDX).

  • Create a human connection with every traveler by providing legendary customer service and reflecting Providence’s core values: compassion, dignity, justice, excellence, and integrity.

  • Oversee the retail site that features over-the-counter medications and an Express Care Virtual kiosk, which are examples of Providence’s community development and technological advancements in care.

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of all these services and actively engage travelers and Port employees to understand and/or use these services.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 2 years of directly relevant work experience

  • Experience presenting information through various formats to small groups

  • Comfortable addressing and engaging the public

  • Comfortable educating and sharing product features and benefits information with the public

  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Some college

  • Completion of a medical terminology course

  • Large-scale event experience

  • Bilingual fluency
