Providence is calling a RN Manager Clinical Quality Improvement - Clinical Quality Improvement (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Office Park Portland in Portland , OR

Shift: Monday through Friday 8am - 5:30pm

We are seeking a RN Manager Clinical Quality Improvement - Clinical Quality Improvement that will be responsible for facilitating and leading clinical improvement strategies and initiatives to achieve clinical excellence. Responsible for managing the clinical quality improvement department; is accountable for supervising and directing the work of quality improvement nurses, program managers, coordinators, and quality improvement teams and implementing resulting project solutions across PMG.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Direct oversight and management of Clinical Quality Improvement department and staff

  • Collaborate with PMG leadership in the quality planning process across Oregon, helping to identify strategic areas of focus, monitoring and reporting

  • Collaborate and coordinates with the PMG Population Health Strategies and Value Based Care programs to ensure aligned clinical quality improvement initiatives and resource optimization

  • Leverage multi-disciplinary teams to identify problems, analyze variations, and improve the complex processes and systems to enhance the quality of patient care

  • Establish ongoing monitoring and evaluation of quality using pre-determined patient outcome indicators

  • Evaluate and coordinate work around quality reports

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Providence Health Plan Quality Improvement team to identify tactics for clinical quality performance

  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder collaborative to support improvement efforts targeted at specific populations

  • Participate in the workgroups and committees responsible for increasing efficiency and quality in patient care in OR and System Providence

  • Serve as a liaison between technical departments, PMG clinicians, PMG operations, PMG Quality Improvement, PMG nursing and PMG leadership, and PMG Clinical Quality Improvement department

  • Participate and or lead population health/quality/safety meetings in Oregon

  • Reach out to colleagues beyond Providence to share knowledge and learnings

  • Engage clinicians in adoption of clinical evidence, tools and workflows

  • Incorporate health services research methodology into quality improvement efforts when appropriate

  • Continuous learner in (1) clinical practice and evidence-based medicine and (2) tools for population health improvements including IT/Epic skills through on-line resources, training, conferences

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; graduated from an accredited school

  • Current unencumbered state of Oregon RN licensure

  • Five (5) years of experience working in healthcare administration/management; Demonstrated leadership ability may be substituted for supervisory experience for internal applicant

  • Demonstrated experience and success in organizational processes involving quality improvement, including change management processes

  • Three (3) years of Ambulatory Nursing clinical practice experience

  • Two (2) years of Experience in improving and maintaining clinical effectiveness and quality

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Healthcare
