Providence is calling a Senior Program Manager ACN to one of our locations in Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, or Irvine, CA.

AMBULATORY CARE NETWORK SUMMARY

The rapid acceleration of a longstanding trend – the movement of services and payment away from traditional care settings and structures into consumer-oriented lower cost venues with greater ease of access is forcing healthcare providers to respond to consumers, payors and competitors by investing and organizing differently; including offering new access points that drive down delivery system costs and ultimately change legacy revenue models.

Providence St. Joseph has established an ambulatory care division designed and organized to focus on providing patients access to an optimized and connected ambulatory care network across all our geographies. This lower cost, consumer-centric network is a key strategy to ensure we are the preferred health partner in the communities we serve.

ESSENTIAL POSITION PURPOSE

In partnership with the Chief Administration Office and the Director, Growth and Governance, the Sr. Program Manager leads the development, facilitation, and implementation of overall strategic planning efforts within the ACN, and in alignment with System, Regional, and Clinical Care Division frameworks and planning processes. This position will need to work within a complex organizational structure with minimal direction and in a manner that balances achievement of strategic goals while maintaining effective relationships with other business divisions.

In this position, you will:

  • Serves as a transformational member of the Ambulatory Care Network team; working collaboratively to achieve strategic and operational goals as outlined in the integrated strategic and financial plan and the Ambulatory Care Network Executive Leadership Teams.

  • Leads in the development, facilitation, and implementation of overall strategic planning. Including the development of an annual strategic roadmap/rhythm of business process to drive consistency and alignment for the divison and operates within the system's broader roadmap. Builds and fosters key partnerships and relationships with stakeholders included but not limited to those listed: ACN Executive Council on vision, strategies, goals in relation to ISFP; ACN Finance on alignment with annual budget and long range planning process; ACN business line leaders on market and scaled strategy plans to ensure alignment across the division, operating commitment metrics, key strategies etc.; ACN Communications to develop communications for system strategic plans; ACN Clinical Leaders; and Clinical Care, Line of Business, and Regional strategy leads on integrated planning approaches.

  • Leads the ACN Executive Leadership Team in the annual process for planning and alignment of key strategies and priorities and goals as part of the System Integrated Strategic and Financial Plan (ISFP) process. In addition leads the annual process for defining and approval of ACN executive measurements/common metrics and annual leader incentive metrics in alignment with ISFP.

  • Develops materials and compiles content to support and facilitate: regional strategy dialogues, division wide strategic presentations, system Strategic Field Reviews, internal/external reports.

  • Owns, monitors, and ensures all follow ups to strategic meetings/planning are owned and completed in a timely fashion to drive initiatives and collaboration efforts forward.

  • Stays up-to-date of the evolving health care landscape and new technologies to serve as a resource for strategic, service line and business planning activities.

  • Navigates relationships at all levels within a complex, relationship-based organization; utilizing direct and indirect influence to ensure a collaborative and holistic approach to strategic planning and facilitation.

  • Represents Providence St. Joseph Health, the EVP-Ambulatory Care, and the Ambulatory Network Division to internal and external stakeholders, and fulfills the Providence Mission and Promise in every day interactions.

  • Has a sense of humor and positive, team-focused attitude.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, healthcare, or a related field

  • 8 years healthcare experience, preferably in roles representing a broad range of experience across virtual, retail, ambulatory, inpatient delivery and health plans. Demonstrated experience in strategy, portfolio, program, project management, consulting, health planning, and/or business analysis experience

  • Knowledge of health care (virtual, retail, ambulatory, inpatient, health plan) strategies, economics, technologies and terminologies; including regional nuances and where industry segments complement and overlap. Knowledge of changing trends in the delivery of virtual, retail and ambulatory services, and the ability to report on emerging issues that may affect the organization.

  • Exhibits outstanding leadership and organizational skills and the ability to effectively role model, function and lead projects to success in a complex and highly-matrixed environment.

  • Knowledge of emerging issues and changing trends within the industry that may affect the organization; and ability to develop comprehensive recommendations that include the engagement of consumers relating to new products and services.

  • Able to skillfully gather and analyze information, apply independent judgment in making decisions, take action in a timely manner, and lead transformation through others.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Business, healthcare, or a related field

  • 3-5 years working as part of a large, multi-product/multi-market, geographically dispersed organization.

  • 3-5 yearsrxperience in business development and experience in clinical or healthcare setting

  • Training in facilitation of diverse groups

  • Change Management skills
