Supervisor Pharmacy Technicians - Pharmacy - Providence Portland Medical Center - 1.0 FTE, Days
Assists the Pharmacy Manager and the Supv-Pharmacy Ops in coordinating daily operational, organizational, training and educational activities of the Pharmacy Technician staff to provide for a well-trained, smoothly operating department. This position will coordinate the daily activities, as well as act as immediate supervisor for all support personnel including Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Interns while working for the department as Technicians, Pharmacy Technician Interns/students, and any volunteer personnel. This position will develop and set standards to meet the educational requirements for the Technical support staff. This position will act as a liaison between the Pharmacy Technicians and the other Pharmacy management, and will have decision making authority in certain situations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager or Supv-Pharmacy Ops.
Understands major job responsibilities of all Technical support staff and is able to perform those duties as required. Understands and able to train staff on USP 797/800 compounding and other compliance related to our P&P and regulatory requirements.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
Current Oregon Board of Pharmacy Technician registration
Two (2) years of Pharmacy experience
One (1) year Hospital experience
IV admixture experience (USP 797/800)
