Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Supervisor, Program Quality and Performance to work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.
The Supervisor of Program Quality and Performance is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the audit program. This individual is responsible for the assignment of volume, productivity and audit staff performance, and provisioning system access for all resources. The Program Supervisor holds daily meetings with QA Supervisor(s) to understand staffing challenges, productivity or other roadblocks with the tool, systems or job aids. The individual conducts additional audits of underperforming staff and/or QA Supervisors, monitors individuals on a Performance Improvement Program (PIP), and manages department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), job aids and training materials. Program Supervisor coordinates resource onboarding including provisioning system access and training. Facilitate staff training on audit process and coordinates with QA Supervisors and vendor trainers on training materials. Coordinate with Process Improvement Program Supervisor on trainings, feedback, and observations from Level 1 and 2 audit results. Assists in Level 1 audit overflow question queue. Assist in Level 2 audit question queue. Program Supervisor works with QA Manager to evaluate and adjust productivity, accuracy, and inter-rater targets on a weekly/monthly basis. Responsible for audit department performance reporting and department dashboard. Seeks ways to improve productivity and accuracy of audits.
The individual has extensive experience as a supervisor in back-office revenue cycle functions and experience in conducting quality assurance audits. This individual has exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. With strong technical skills, this individual has command of large datasets and likes to develop insights based on data. The Program Supervisor must work in collaboration with the BI team to establish meaningful reporting metrics to track the audit department performance. This individual is an excellent communicator, is a respected leader among peers and enjoys developing highly functional and collaborative teams.
Responsibilities:
Conducts and reviews audit-the-auditor audits; assists with overflow of auditor questions and answers QA Supervisor audit questions.
Responsible for drafting and maintaining accurate and up to date workflows, processes (SOP) and/or job aids used by QA Specialists and Strike Team QA Specialists. Solicits feedback from QA Supervisors on areas of clarification or refinement.
Oversee the daily/weekly assignment process of random samples of claims to be included in audit reports; works with QA Manager to refine process.
Oversee and monitors productivity and quality measures on a daily basis with QA Supervisors. Conducts independent investigation to confirm or refute potential performance issues.
Conducts audits of under performing staff and/or QA Supervisors, monitors individuals on a Performance Improvement Program (PIP).
Works with QA Manager to evaluate and adjust productivity, accuracy and inter-rater targets on a weekly/monthly basis. Seeks ways to improve productivity and accuracy of audits.

Ensures all Quality Assurance Specialists adhere to all necessary requirements to maintain security and confidentiality of data, audit findings and Protected Health Information
Reviews and responds timely to all questions raised by Quality Assurance Specialists and/or QA Specialists. Seeks ways to minimize similar questions in the future by educating Specialists on repetitive errors or questions
Provide training to QA Supervisors, Quality Assurance Specialists, Strike Team QA Specialists. Refine and update training materials on an as needed basis.
Facilitate train-the-trainer trainings with vendor trainer(s).
Holds daily meetings with QA Supervisor(s) to understand staffing challenges, productivity or other roadblocks with the tool, systems or job aids.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent educ/experience
4 years of experience working at or with large health systems
4 years of Individual has extensive experience as a Supervisor in back-office revenue cycle functions
4 years of experience working in Epic and managing a large team of resources
