Providence Health & Services Patient Experience Specialist in Wilsonville, Oregon


Providence is calling a Patient Experience Specialist to Providence Medical Group in Wilsonville, OR.

This is a fast paced position working in a call center environment with heavy phone and computer usage. Candidates with strong customer service and typing skills are highly encouraged to apply! Bilingual is a plus!

In this position, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for new customers calling Providence Medical Group to establish care.

  • Provide highly effective communication, concierge service, and on-going liaison support to ease the way of new patients, patients moving to a new clinic, or established patients calling before their clinics open.

  • Support Express Care, Express Care Virtual clinics, and Immediate Care clinics.

  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, accurately collecting information and performing on-boarding activities for new patients will be performed on a daily basis.

  • Work closely with Providence Health Plan and ensures that the scheduling standards are met.

  • Manually track appointments completed by this position and given to PMG Senior Leadership to help with Access decision making.

  • Accomplish additional admin duties as needed.

  • Perform and support the mission and core values of Providence Health & Services through responsible, efficient, and effective work performance.

  • Provide excellent customer service to all callers while still achieving performance standards in regards to telephone metrics (Answer speed, talk time, after call time, abandonment rate, etc).


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years of customer service experience

  • Typing speed: minimum of 45 words per minute

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Office applications

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Some college

  • Medical terminology

  • 1 year of medical office or health care experience

  • Epic experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese)
